New Delhi (India), November 7<\/strong>: India\u2019s first ever dedicated award show for Indian Forest Service officers, the\u00a0Eco Warrior Awards 2023,\u00a0was held on 3rd November, to honor exceptional individuals and initiatives that have made significant contributions to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.\u00a0<\/p>\n Union Minister of Forest, Climate & Environment Change, Mr. Bhupender Yadav,\u00a0was the Chief Guest and\u00a0Minister of State, MoEFCC, Mr. Ashwini Kumar Choubey\u00a0was the Guest of Honour. They were accompanied by DG Forests, Mr. CP Goyal, and Member Secretary, NTCA, Mr. S. P Yadav, who is also the President of the Indian Forest Service Officers\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n Eco Warrior Awards 2023 was organised jointly by Indian Masterminds and Indian Forest Service Association, and the awards were sponsored by HPCL \u2013 a Maharatna company in oil and gas sector; GAIL \u2013 India\u2019s leading Natural Gas Company; and Okiwana \u2013 Ye E Sahi Hai.\u00a0<\/p>\n Watch the summary video of the awards.<\/p>\n The event commenced with a\u00a0National Conclave on Forest and Wildlife Conservation,\u00a0where IFS officers \u2013 Suneesh Buxy, Vivek Saxena, Saurabh Sharma, Bishwajit Mishra, Dr. Mohan Ram, Amit Anand, Millo Tasser, Parveen Kaswan, SK Awasthi, Sudha Ramen \u2013 and MD of Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd, Bengaluru, Mr. Manoj Kumar, offered their valuable suggestions.<\/p>\n AWARDEES<\/p>\n The first award of the night was presented for the category \u2018Forest Protection\u2019 to\u00a0Ms. Vasu Kanojia,\u00a0DFO, North Seoni, Madhya Pradesh.<\/p>\n The second award was for \u2018Wildlife Conservation\u2019 and it was given to\u00a0Dr. Mohan Ram\u00a0for his exemplary work in wildlife conservation in Gir Forest, Gujarat.<\/p>\n The next award under the category of \u2018Wildlife Protection\u2019 went to\u00a0Mr. Ritesh Sarothiya,\u00a0Regional Deputy Director, NR, WCCB, Headquarters, MoEF&CC, Delhi.<\/p>\n The award for the \u2018Best Use of Technology for Conservation\u2019 went to\u00a0Mr. Biswajit Mishra,\u00a0currently serving as CCF, (CTI), in Bengaluru.<\/p>\n The last award for the evening was the \u2018Award for Community Connect\u2019 and it went to\u00a0Mr. Millo Tassar,\u00a0Conservator of Forests in Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n MINISTER SPEAKS<\/p>\n Addressing the august gathering,\u00a0Union Forest Minister Bhupender Yadav\u00a0said that wildlife conservation is not just a service, it is a passion. \u201cIt is not just a service, it is a mission. Each one of you is a karmayogi.
